Simulators

Founded in 2001 as a university start-up, the then-called company VRmagic has been a pioneer with virtual reality technology for medical training. In 2020, VRmagic joined the Swiss-based Haag-Streit Group. Physics-based models developed by Haag-Streit Simulation allow for a highly realistic simulation of anatomical structures and dynamic interaction with tissue in real-time. With highest competence in software and hardware development Haag-Streit Simulation designs its training simulators and custom simulators for industry partners with medical training needs. For now twenty years, they have been raising the benchmark in medical simulation technology. More than 450 schools for ophthalmology, optometry, and medical education use simulators from Haag-Streit Simulation in their training programs. Around 800 Eyesi simulators are in use on all continents and even in the air – on board of the Orbis “Flying Eye Hospital”.
